I am a beginning taxidermist/trapper and I have a bunch of racoon skins and was wondering what is the best way to tan them to get a soft hide. Also how do you break skins after tanning?

a tanning kit from one of the suppliers, it will come with complete instuctions.
send it to a tannery. It will cost less to have them do it then all the chemicals and stuff to do just one.
call a taxidermist and see about getting it to him and skinned and fleshed and salted.
