Waterfowl mounts

I got a question on the amount of ducks or geese I can have in my freezer.I have a federal permit to cover me doing migratory birds for customers(only have one duck).I'm just starting out.I figure I can do it as a part time business. My question is how many migratory birds can I have of my own?I was wanting to get a drake and a hen of several spiecies to start a show room of sorts.Do I need to go by my state posession limits? I have a state taxidermy permit as well as the federal permit.I'm getting close to my posession limit which is 12.But I was hopeing to get more spieces before the season ends.Any info would help. Thanks Mark

Posession

Yes you can only have what your state says you can have. Being a taxidermist gives us no right to have more of our own than what they require. We can only have more because of the clients we have.

What Frank has said is definitely true, but there is a way. Buy your birds from a pen raised breeder. They will supply the proper paper work that you need to stay out of trouble. That is if you are serious about fixing up your show room and not being able to hunt more..LOL

Thanks

HOW ABOUT

skin and mount them. Once mounted, (some might even say once skinned, but the laws are grey there) it is out of your possession limit.
