Received my mannekin for my first mount today. Ordered a McKenzie doe wall pedestal with pre-set eyes. My question is, it appears that the need for clay work around the eye has been eliminated with this form. It appears to be built into the form. The eye lid appears to be sculpted in already. Am I correct, or do I still need to do clay work around the eye. I assume if not, the skin just tucks between the glass eye and the foam. Any help would be appreciated.

this is probably a Reinhart form, a company McKenzie bought out. You will probably have to carve between the eye and foam to make a space to tuck the skin, simple. The one thing I have noticed is the sculpting to the upper eye lid is not full enough for the eye attitude I like. Try one,if you don't like the shape or fullness, add extra clay. I personally do not use the forms.
