Does anyone know of a commercial tannery that will tan white tail capes for someone that does not have a liscence? I called a few and they all said that I needed a liscence. I'm just learing the trade and am planning to get my liscence. Anyway PLEASE HELP!

Many states dont require a license, niether does the federal goverment excepting miagratory birds.
For over 1/2 the time I have been in business I have never been required to have a license other then my MBP.
When reporting for the IRS, you can use the Social security card. BUT DONT GIVE THAT NUMBER TO ANY BODY IT IS NOT THEIR BUSINESS! Identy theft is very common and I have been a victim of that also.
Call the tanneries back and ask them to send you a price List.
OBTW most states dont reconize taxidermy as legit businesses.
Whats all this talk that you can't take anything to the tannery
you sure can..It's all In how you work things has to whether It's
allowed or not.In order to justify a business you need to make a profit
or you do not have a business?
