I know there is an air powered hand held flesher and I know about the Dakota fleshers but I was wondering if there is a hand held electric flesher on the market that will do an adequated job of fleshing ?
I am very smal time, I do deer only and only for myself and friends, (although you would be surprised how many friends you have when you will mount their deer only for the cost of materials and S&H ! )
I just want to speed up my fleshing time and save a little elbow grease. I don't plan on making this a full time business so I don't want to invest in a Dakota, though it is a dream machine. And the extremely small area I have to work in would not lend itself well to a loud compressor. Any help and info from the pros will be appreciated. And no I'm not crazy for mounting deer at cost I just enjoy it, it's a wonderful art to take that bloody chopped off head and make a beautiful trophy out of it !

i dont think that their is any electric hand held fleshers on the market. if their were one i think that i would've picked up one for myself and that would do away with the loud compressor. but oh well,
i luv my little mini-flesher!
electice mini fleshers out there. I have one which works off a foredom motor with a cable. I bought it several years ago from Buckeye Mannikins, before they sold out to McKenzie. It works quite well. You can flesh the lips, eyes and ears with it as long as the blade is set not too deep. It has a serrated blade on it, unlike the blade on the Dakota which has a sharp, knife like edge on it.
