I live in Calif.
Have an Inland Grizzly that I took on the North Slope in Alaska about 10 years ago. Lifesize mount.
Can I legally sell this bear? If so, are there any restrictions. EMAILed USF&W a week ago but have not received a response.
I have someone interested in it but will only proceed if legal.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

I posted a question of selling a black bear mount the other day. I since have talked to the State F&G. I live in New Jersey. My answer was .. if all of the original paperwork(liscense and/or permit) is with the mount, in the state of New Jersey it is legal to sell. Check the laws for yourself just to comver your own a$$.
USFW says US law allows the sale, Calif. State law prohibits it.
Go Figure.
