Put the earliners In the ears..then pull the cape over form
and build up ear butts..you can build up your ear butts before hand

Sounds like some clarity is needed here.

First off, sound like you're wanting to know how to actually secure the earliners to the foam mannikin? You mean like so they can't be seperated? This is not necessary. IF you use earliners, use a good earliner glue sold in many taxidermy catalogs. If it's plastic earliners, sand the liners to rough them up. Cut the earliner to fit into the ear where it's not snug. This is so when the ear dries out, the skin won't over tighten and cause seperation (drumming). Apply the glue, shove the liner in the ear and press the skin into place. You may want to card and pin the ear edges. Use critter clay to fill and build the butts and sew up the back. If you bondo your ears, use bondo, hardner, fiber glass resin and chopped up fiber glass. Fill the ear, smooth out and let dry. Then fill the butts with critter clay and sew up the back. Personally I think nothing bonds an ear like the bondo method. But to each his own. Happy Thanksgiving!
