I want to mount a greenhead by myself using Van Dykes large duck mounting kit. What I want to know is how hard would this be not having any taxidermy experience?

No one can really explain the difficulty of this...just try it and be patient, but most of all enjoy it. Use the orange search button to the left for questions you have, and ask here that which you cannot find. My first bird was a hooded merganser that I could not have been more proud of. It did not look great which photos now prove, but the first one rarely if ever will. Some people throw them away as I did, but if I had it to do over I would have kept mine. Everyone here had the same experience you do at one time.
