Preserving Pheasant Wings

I have just received pheasant wings from a local hunter. Currently they are in my refrigerator. I need to know what the process is to preserve them so I could hang them. Some say soak in water solution, some say use Borax (not sure in water), some say coat with salt, others say make a slit & clean meat off. I didn't see anything that gave specific steps. Could someone give me a more specific answer since I have no clue about this procedure.

Thanks!

a couple different ways to do it . The quickest would be to slit on the underside of the wing and clean the meat out. Then rub with borax and spread open in the position you want and staple with card board to hold them , let dry for a couple weeks. John
