Hey guys, new to the forum. I am wanting to do a shoulder mount from a buck that I shot in 2000. I didn't get it mounted then and I regret it now. It was my first buck. I want to get a pre-tanned cape and use that. I know I need a mannikan, ears, and eyes. What else do I need and what steps should I take?

You will need to find a good taxidermist. Ask around in your area. Talk to other hunters, visit shops, etc...
If you want to do it yourself, you will need supplies like: hide paste, special sewing needles, special thread, clay, a mounting stand would sure make it easier, an airbrush, paints, reference photos, special epoxy material. The list goes on...............................along with specialized tools that also make the job a lot easier. Jehosefus.
