A customer brought in a red deer for me to mount, it is my first one. I noticed that they have canine teeth, are these teeth ivory like elks are?

According to a local that raises Red Deer, they are closely related to Elk. I mounted one last year, and it had small 'ivories' on it.
Out of curiousity, though, does anyone know what the difference is between the 'ivories' and the other teeth? Are they basically the same? Or do the 'ivories' have a thicker enamel?
Theyre called maxillary teeth. I dont think red deer have them, at least I forget, the last time I did a true red deer. Red stag, elk crosses, have them, though, like you saw.
