E to N, N to back of head and neck circumfrence is all I have ever seen.

I think your E to N must be way off.

Are you trying to put a doe cape on a buck form? If you are that could be the trouble. Jack F

Measure your cape flat across between the eyes from one front corner to the other. Then measure the mannikin from the front of the eye space to the other. Do the math then cut that amount out betwen the eyes by sawing the face in half and sawing out that thickness. (I cut the front of the face off first and just thin out the back half then re-attach and form.)Reattach the two parts of the head with bondo. If you have a doe form this should be especially easy since you have no skull block to worry about. IF the size of the mannikin is way greater than the size of the cape then forget this and get the right size mannikin. I find it's a good idea to take that eye to eye measurement just incase. Usually mannikins are made to fit, but not always. I find this especially so with blacktail deer mannikins. Some are made with faces as thin as whitetails and others have some real thick mugs. You can have two mannikins with 6 1/2" e to n and 17 1/2" neck, but the e to e measurement on one can be 4" and the other can be 5 1/4". Big difference!
