We are doing a skull mount on some longhorn steers. The problem is we don't know what kind of glue to use to glue the horns back on the skull. We also need to know where to purchase this product. Any other tips for this project would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
Becky

Pretty much anything will work outside of superglues. Superglues can tend to absorb into the piece very fast and not make a strong bond. 5 minute epoxy, white glue and fossil fixing adhesives will all work though. Each of course has their own properties which may or may not be desirable for your techniques. Epoxy is permanent and fast which is great if you are sure you are putting the horns on perfectly and never want to remove them later. White glue or wood glue will work but will take a fair amount of time to dry - especially since the amount of air accessing the interior of the horn is limited. On the plus side is that it gives you ample time to ensure the horns are in the exact position you would like them to be in.
Though Raven is correct, I'd never use anything other than epoxy. I'd also recommend that you use my favorite, #30 Paste from Epo-Grip. This stuff takes 6-8 hours to kick off and that gives you more than ample time to insure that the horns are positioned properly. What I especially like about it is that it's natural color (tea) allows it to blend in without discoloring the horn and it's thick enough to imbed in the vein tracks on the core as well as attach to the slicker cases of the horn.
Since a longhorn can be rather "large", you may want to consider making the horns detachable.
