I stumbled upon this site while looking up information and was just appalled to the people who think it's okay to poison someone's pet. Let me remind you that most things can be traced in an animal when it is poisoned and it is illegal to do so. The fact that we have to have a law to keep people like you in line says a lot about our society. We are supposed to be human and intelligent and handle matters in a decent manner. You people should be ashamed of yourself. What if I didn't like your oboxious kid? Or your dog? Should I be allowed to poison them to get rid of them? How can you call yourself human, and be pleased with yourself knowing you made an animal suffer because you don't like it crapping in your garden? Never mind the people who love the animal? And the reason why there are so many stray cats is because of the idiots that go off and dump the animal in the woods thinking it can survive on it's own. I can't belive you people love animals, I don't believe you even know what love or compassion is.
Thanks again for proving there are a lot of sick people out there. I wish I could report each and everyone one of you and have you fined up the wazoo.

What the hell are you talking about? If you are going to come into our house, show some respect and at least tell us what poisoning you are going on about?
Even if someone IS poisoning critters.. you DO realize that perso went out and BOUGHT that animal poison somewhere? You can buy rat posion in Wal-Mart for cripes sake... So there ya go - you want to report someone and have them fined up the wazoo - start with Wal Mart - Im sure they are easy to find...
Furthermore, do not assume that because someone posts something about a certain technique, that it is adopted by all the people of that group. If that were the case I as a Canadian could say all Americans are over militant blokes and therefore you should all be considerred threats to public safety! Or Americans could say all Canadians are chronic cannibis abusers. Those are OBVIOUSLY ludicrous statements that are far the truth, but your blanket judgement of us has no more crediblity.
For now we'll just file your over opinionated, uneducated drivle with all the other obnoxious posts wherein people preach from up on high about their higher code of ethics and superior moral systems.

I didnt put antifrez in your cats dish. let alone a sponge soaked in bacon grease to feed to your dog. maybe you need to contact the proper othorities and look into what your issues are and who's animal was poisoned, also while your at it. i think maybe a few sessions with a counciler would be of some greathelp. damn tree huggers I swear . There are quite a few CAT OWNERS that allow their cats to roam the neighborhoods. And talking with some of them to try and work things out manytimes does not work because they do not understand.
They do not understand that it is WRONG to allow ANY animal to roam and deficate on others' property. Why should cats be exempt?
Cats spread many diseases to humans with their feces, and they love to use kids' sandboxes.
And, cats are EXCELLENT hunters. Think about all those poor birds that they kill when they're out there doing what they do naturally - HUNT! And they don't kill their prey quickly, they play with their prey and torment them before they finally die.
And Raven is right. Just because you found some insensitive answer to the problem in the archives (ie: poisoning) does not mean all the others condone this behavior. Most people would agree that poison causes a HORRIBLE death to any animal. And most will agree with you on this matter (to NOT use poison).
This is a sensitive issue where I live. I believe the owner that allows ANY pet to roam is just as insensitive as the ones you are describing.
Hell, this is a public board, for all we know it could've been some "animal rights" activist (PETA member) posting to make US look bad. Don't believe everything you read on the internet...
Whoever is out there posioning cats should be ashamed,that stuff costs money . There are other ways like treble hooks in hamburger or or even a simple feild tip you wouldnt need a broadhead they are expensive too.Remember the old saying keep it simple stupid. You dont need posion to skin a cat . And Nicole if something bothers you stay away from it ,and if you find raw hamburger balls in your yard dont eat them they might have treble hooks it em .

Anyways since you self-righteous lunatic posted on here i will reply. There are NUMEROUS animals that are not mine that come to my farm that should not be there. I put my dogs in the kennel of a night and i put my cat in the basement, yet even though i keep my pets up and the neighbors don't I gladly tolerate their animals until they cross the line. I have never had a cat cross the line, but i have had to "didpose" of several dogs that were no longer wanted by their masters, but not after much toleration and opportunity to leave. I put up with two dogs running my cattle and chasing deer for a year and a hlaf before i finally had to shoot them. They were no longer pets. They were strays who made a living roaming. These dogs were so smart that they knew what rattling was. They would come in to me when i was rattling for deer and i would have shot them but they were heading for my foam decoy and i yelled at them to get away so ii never had a shot, they also ran about 100 of my calves into the fence about a week before i killed them.
Meanwhile a old yellow tom cat is roaming through my barns as we speak and he will find the piece of venison that i strategically placed just for him, and the neighbors dog will visit tonight and wake up my dogs. I don't know if she is visiting or teasing but either way i have learned to keep my deer hides outta reach. :-)
Don't judge me as evil, I am one of the most Godliest people you wil EVER find, I ain't trying to toot my own horn, but you don't need to be judging me. You can go on your little vindictive, vigilante accusations of us but don't do it in the name of the Lord. I thank God every day for giving me artistic talent! And letting me find a profession I can combine my love and knowledge of animals with my artistic side.
By the way, Nicole, many of the responses left such as you are refering to are in jest. If you frequented this site, you'd eventually figure out the which of the people on here that are joking. I truly believe the vast majority of us in the taxidermy field have a love of animals and would never deliberately be cruel to one.
Hey Nicole maybe you should look and see what taxidermy is all about instead of just following others who say it is bad like im shure you are. never i repeat never automaticaly assume something is right or wrong whenm you yourself have never seen it done or experienced what it is really about. taxidermy is not killin inocent animals and stuffing them. It is much more than that the people that do it are caring and put alot of tiume into making that animal come back to life. we are not evil we love the animal more than you but we love them enought to hunt them to keep their numbers in line so they dont die from disease that is alot worse for the animals than hunting. All you are doing is following what someone else told you is wrong and right. Next time you go off cutting a group down such as hunters and taxidermist you need to think about what i just said.because it doesnt matter what your little opinion is about something just caz you trhink it is wrong doesnt make it wrong.

I will Fess up. I made one of the responding posts you are referring to. Its Nice to love animals. I do. And I show it by keeping them in a safe environment. I adopt several wild Horses each year from The BLM. I give them homes, train them, provide vet care. when they are well trained, serviceable animals that will be kept in good homes because of their usable value. I GIVE them FREE to kids who are in need of 4-H projects. So I have room to save more. I also Have some of the finest Blue point Siamese cats in the eastern U.S. And 2 outstanding English Springer spaniels. My cats are kept indoors, Where they cannot become Nuisance to others. My dogs have a doggy door that goes to a fenced in area. so they cannot roam the neighborhood. When I find your Rotwhiler digging under my fence because my Springers are in heat. I will Shoot it. Plane and simple. I have no need for puppies that are cross bread Rotwhiler, And champion Springers. If you Tom Cat crawls through My doggy door to visit my cats. He will suffer the same fate. Since you do not have the good sense to keep your animal in control, and allow him to populate the world with unwanted puppies, and Kittens, destine for a life of hardship. I will help solve the world dog problem. one stray at a time. Blame me if you like. But If you love animals then take care of them. But Don't blame the people who chose to have a life free from unwanted animals. For a problem You self professed animal lovers create.

Just where did you find this site? It reminds me of a game called "Postal 2" where the player puts a cat on the end of their gun to use as a silencer. Sick. Utterly tasteless. Gross. Digusting. But, for some sick reason, funny!
I'm suprised at myself, I didn't know that side of me existed! I actually tried that game and found it rather sickly amusing. Don't get me wrong, I have a cat. Of course less than 5 minutes ago, I just caught him eating MY supper. That may have made the game more fun!

We have a small farm here in western massachusetts and stray pets are a big problem.
When you purchase & raise chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits & more, there is nothing more aggrivating than seeing stray animals digging around your pens ans barn to get to your animals..
Alot of MONEY & effort goes into rasing animals, so when there is a leash law, and you dont think it applies to you, then your just asking for problems..
We have a bunch of "Granola Eating, Clog Wearing, Tree Huggers" all around us, were surrounded,LOL.
I do not shoot an animal unless my animals are in jeapordy or they are in season,LOL...
I also have cats & my own dogs, & they don't run free at all.
If a person decided to use poison they would put there own animals in danger as well...
Bottom line... If ya don't like this site, then don't visit...
Just because one person uses poison, doesnt me we all do...
Don't let one person represent all the people here..
