I just brought home a nice roadkill gray fox. Its very cold and the fox is frozen whole, outside. The body seems to be a little crushed and there is a tear, but it looks like an easy sew-and-hide job to me. I can mount squirrels without a problem, but I have never had to split and re-mount lips or turn ears or anything required for a larger animal. Am i best to leave the fox frozen while i get some more experience or try and mount him now? I don't want to make a mount that will be a wasteful shame of an otherwise nice fox (some of the mounts on e-bay lately have been scaring me). Any input appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
I would use the search button and learn a little more about turning ears, lips and the nose before trying to skin the animal out.
