I recently got a beavers hind feet and his tale. I was wondering how to preserve them. Kinda like a lucky rabbits foot. I read else where that just lots of salting but I'm afrai this might wrinkle them up?
Do I have to remove the bones?

If you wount to perserve them you must skin thim out down to the toe claw joint. the tale is a hole differnt story, full of tendens, and fatty muscle a real pain in the butt ! Try splitting it down the middle, and foldding the skin over as you cut, our just cut the bottom part off{under side}, and dig it out.thin you should tan it just like anything, our salt, and let it dry out. Good luck.
