This is probably common sence question but this will be my first attempt to mount a small mammal. I recently aquired a grey fox (winter coat)which I am going to try and mount but I'm not sure if the form I have will work. The foxes measurments are 2 1/4" x 13 1/2" x 23". The fox was not skinned when I took these measurments. The form I was given is a GF-17 from McKenzie. The measurements are 2 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 23 3/4. v Thanks. MichelleW

The measurments are not to far off. As you know always buy a form that is as exact as you can. You might have to alter it a little but that should never be a big deal.
God Bless
I think since the forms measurements are longer in length and smaller in girth it should work fine. Best thing to do is test fit it before mounting and alter the form where need be.
This was my first time measuring a small mammal and I don't think i had the tape very snug around the middle. Shortening the length of the form sould be no problem. If I have to add a little to the girth of the manikin what do you suggest I use to do so. Mache or clay? Is their any other advise befor I start working on this fox? Thanks again. MichelleW
