I have a opossum manikin that I need to build up (about 1/2 inch all over) and was planning on using modeling clay. Will I have a problem with my water based hide paste sticking to the clay? If so, any suggestions? Thanks for the help!

1/2 inch is nothing to worry about as a mater of fact thats what you want. it allows you to move the skin around, i would not even worry about 1/2 inch om a squirrel.
Maybe I am under estimating a 1/2 inch because when I put the hide on the manikin head and move the skin around to line up with his eyes, his ears are almost touching!
I am glad this is a beginners forum or I would feel really stupid!
