I just finish tanning my first coons. The tanning oil I am using is Noblochs Tanning oil #1. The directions say to brush on oil, wait 1 to 3 hours then fold skin and let it set over night. Then allow the skin to dry. The directions that came with the Alum Iused say to brush on the oil then allow it to dry, breaking it occasionaly to keep it soft. It does not say to roll it and let it sit overnight. Which directions should I follow. Any help would be appreciated

Are you making a soft hide (rug) or one for mounting.
If it's for mounting then follow Knobloch's way. If your doing a rug and want it real soft follow the other way.
