Is it easier to sew up the legs on a cased hide before mounting, or sew while mounting? If I sew it before mounting how hard will it be to taxi the skin onto the legs?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Some will detach the legs on the form and insert them into the cased hide and put the mount together that way. The legs will be epoxied back in place or some use just screws to do this.
I personally make a dorsal cut and mount them this way. I will them sew up the legs and back after I mount it.
There's no right or wrong way, as long as you end up with a good mount.
I think I will try and cut off the legs. Do you think I should put some clay around the places where I cut or is that not needed?
Thanks again, very much appreciated.
Some bondo on the cuts and then a screw or 2 tightening em back together, that leg will never move
Sound's good Doug.
Thanks
