realized there are scratches on the eyes of a whitetail mount I am finishing. Is there anything I can do to repair this?

Gloss coat...

This works with fish eyes but I'll bet those deer eyes are the same.

Spray a nice gloss coat over the eye and the scratch should disappear (or at least become much less noticeable). I use Krylons Triple Thick Glaze.

Obviously, mask off the area around the eye BEFORE spraying...

Triple Thick Glaze

is what I use also. I put it on thick with a small paint brush, that prevents the need to mask surrounding area. Seems I am always scratching those plastic deer eyes by Epperly(sp). I really like those eyes but they do scratch easily.
