Im going to order some books to start learning more Taxidermy.
Is there a big difference in the Breakthrough manuals over the WASCO Booklets. Most of the recommendations I see are for Breakthrough but they are little out of my price range,to get the ones I want. Any advise would be appreciated
Thanks

The Breakthrough manuals are mostly about finishing work (There are SOME that go into detail, but most are geared for the practicing taxidermist) while the WASCO booklets are for the basic learning processes of a beginning taxidermist. When you learn the basics of the WASCO booklets, that's when the value of the Breakthrough manuals will become evident.
Thanks for your reply George. That is good to know.

The Sportsman Series Booklets, and as I worked my way through them, picked up the full Breakthrough manuals, and quite a few videos, one at a time. That has worked really well for me. The booklets are great, but the manuals have 100 times more information. The videos are extremely helpful as well. As for the magazines, I have ordered subscriptions, and have also ordered archive issues that have information in them that I was interested in, after I learned a little more. I read everything I can get my hands on, and try anything I can.....
