Yasmine, I think your talking about the "form" or "mannequin". You might have to rephrase the question.

When we going to see a sample of this dictionary of yours? Might get a little more help if you could show that you were on the level.

yes i was myself thinking of a panel, could you give me the definiton of this word, i thought it was just a base , not only for head but also for whole mounts ?

Panels are usually considered as the wood placed on the back of a mount to hang in on the wall. If you use that same piece of wood UNDER the mount as it sets on a table, it's then called a base. The wood in the backside of the mannikin to which you staple the hide is called a backboard.

this is really funny, I actuallly knew that answer and i am really new to this, but that first answer really cracked me up. I believe she's French (as stated in an earlier post) and is still having some difficulty with learning English. She knows English much better than I do French!
