I've been reading the archives on eyes and different ways to adhere the skin,my question is with Epo-Grip how or when do you apply the adhesive, before you tuck I assume but how exactly?Or do you apply before you slide the cape over the form?
Thanks,Smiley

for use on wt eyes.sorry forgot to mention.smiley
I use a bristle paint brush those 25 centers.
You need a small batch to do the ear, eye and antler burr area. When done with that area, I mix a second batch for the muzzlem nose and lip area, now the third for the jawline and seam area if you are speedy you can do the whole rest of the mannikin, if not you may need to mix a fourth batch.
before of after you put the cape on?

Smiley, The way I do it is with a small putty knife. Less waste than brushes and easy to clean up. Also a small modeling tool for little places like eyelids and up under the antler burrs. When is different according to your method. On deer I put all adhessive on AFTER the cape. I test fit the cape- if all fits well enough I then slip the face down over the nose and attatch antlers, go ahead with the claying including ear butts and then add the Epo-Grip around the antler bases and to the face and upper edge of the throat (this is through the Y incision). Then slide the cape back into proper position. Sew the first couple inches of the cape closed, add a bit of Epo-Grip inside eyelids, tuck eyes. Roll mouth skin back and Epo-Grip the nose and mouth area, tuck nose and lips. Turn mannikin upside down, roll cape over head, adhessive neck, briskit, and shoulders position skin and staple the skin behind briskit area. Now finish the ear butts and close incision, taxi all parts of the cape to proper position, staple back edge of cape, bag the critter and go take a break. Now, lots of people put adhessive on the mannikin then add the skin but it's always been too messy that way for me and it messes up my eye clay work. Enjoy, Aaron H.
