Was wondering if someone could tell me how long it is ok to leave a frozen deer head out to thaw without worrying about slippage, all the deer heads i got this year are frozen solid, i've struggled with a few of them while they were still frozen pretty much solid and was wondering how i would get them so they are easier to work with without causing problems, do you leave them just sitting out on the counter or in the fridge, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks--PW

I take mine out the day before I plan on starting them.
I just take them out of the plastic bag and put them on my
rack/bench. The next day they are usually thawed, but I don't have my shop
real warm. I keep it about 60 degrees in my shop.
Been doing it that way for 20+ years.
Good Luck
John.
