Are there any taxidermist that run a full time buisness using only dry preserve mounts, and do you have any customer complaints about mount quality? if so, what are they? Thanks!

Their are 5 taxidermist in my area that only use DP except on animals larger than a deer they are sent off and tanned. I've been using DP and havn't had any customer complaints, but I havn't mounted many deer for customers either. MichelleW

There is a taxidermist in my area here in the South that DP's everything from squirrels to buffalo, elk, etc...He does over 200 white tail each year in addition to the other various mounts he is asked to do. So far so good. Only complaint I ever heard was about his turn around time. Some have waited two years for their heads.

Thanks, John

The late Mr. Touchstone has a whole musium of animals done excusivly with DP. It works fine for comercial work, and I've seen some in competion that were DP. Just make sure you flesh well and use a good epoxy glue. Good Luck !
