I just had a customer pick up his deer on Sat. Today he called and asked if it is possible to move the ears. I mounted it in an upright left turn pose, I used the McKenzie mannikin chart for reference to the ear position. Is it possible to move them after the clay and hide has dried? As always, Thanks in advance for all the help.

Inject water between the skin and clay of the ear butts. A little at a time then let it sit keep repeating so it has time to rehydrate the clay. wrap a faily wet towel around the outside. let it sweat. The clay will eventially soften enough to tweak and reshape the ears a little. You won't be able to change from ears back to forward or reverse. It would have to be opened up to do that. That would be another option also
That is why I always ask the customer how he wants his ears. Some people prefer forward, some prefer them back.
not telling u what to do, just a suggestion, but i wouldnt get in the habit of using mounted deer heads for reference, they are no sustitute for pics of live animals
