this is my first time to try to tan antlers in velvet the directions say 1. to puncture the tips of the antlers 2. inject the tan in vein at the base until all the blood is out 3. then paint on a heavy coat of tan and hang to dry for four days ( i think up side down it did not say ) then rinse off residue in cool water and hang until dry. should i inject tan from base to tip here and there just to be sure that Ive got it good , I feel like I should do more , thanks for any help I might get

I wouldn't. the stuff does not work like it says it does,

The best think is to get the stuff called preserve-it from Rittels.
You mix it with water and totaly submerge the antlers for 2 weeks.
I never had a problem yet with doing it that way.
I lost 4 sets with the other stuff.
