about humidifier
for what i have read it seemed to be a box with damp sand in which you put the skin so that it doesn"t dry too fast?

In my part of the US we will get temperatures of -30 C in the winter, which is very dry air. To keep things from drying too fast we need to use a humidifier to add moisture to the air. If you dry something too fast, the skin can pull away from the form bebore the glue sets up. This can also be accomplished by bagging the mount with a plastic bag. In the summer we get temperatures of 35+ C, and the humidity is very high. It can take a long time for a mount to dry in these conditions, so a dehumidifier is used to help the situation and speed up the drying process.
As you described, a box with wet samd could be used as a humidity chamber to prevent rapid drying. This would be practical only for a small mount, but not for something the size of a deer head. The plastic bagging method would be best in that situation.
