"open deer mouth options"

I've searched and searched and can't find the info I am looking for.

I purchased a grooming buck form and didn't realize that it was an "open mouth" form.

What are the different ways to "do" the mouth?

jawset?
tongue only?
modify the form to a closed mouth?

Grooming Buck

Wolfe,

For your grooming buck, you may purchase a half jawset and the licking [grooming] tongue or use the alternative of altering it to a closed mouth. I would opt for the open mouth for the challenge. Ed.

Open Mouth

For a beginner, I would modify it to a closed mouth until you get good at doing open-mouthed pieces. Open mouth is not only more work, but it takes more skill.

Just my opinion, though
