Hydrocal is a trademark for a specific kind of high strength plaster. I believe the trademark is owned by "US Gypsums".

Rubber molds are flexible molds that can be made of silicone, flexible urethane, latex or other similar 'rubber' products. Rubber is a loose term these days. 'Rubber molds' used to be made of latex as it is a 'natural rubber' obtained from trees. There are many "synthetic" or man made rubbers now available tho.

Pinking machines are like pinking sheers only more advanced. You use them to cut the edges of fabric so that you get fancy designs on the edges rather than just a straight cut. Imagine scissors that you use for cutting papaer, only instead of two straight blades they have blades with ripples along their edge etc, so that when the blades close together you get wavy patterns or zig-zag patterns etc.

To illustrate - you get something like /\/\/\/\/\ instead of ________
