I mounted my first deer, and it looks horrible. I would like to take the hide off and re-mount it, but I'm not sure how. I relize it would be much easier just to get a new cape, but its a dark thick cape and I would hate to loose it. I used polytranspar hide paste if it matters. Any suggestions would be great! (maybe I could just sell it on e-bay? lol

and did you water or epoxy hide paste? If you did tan it and used water based hide paste you can wet down the cape and remove it. After you get the cape off dry the hair asap. Good luck
I did tan it and I used a water based hide paste. I will try what you suggested! Thanks for the help!
