Can you use borax on a turkey head to dry it? Have removed all the meat inside the neck up to the skull. Have about 5 inchs of the neck skin full of borax now. Or should I just put the whole head in borax?

You don't want to just borax it and try to mount it. You will have a major amount of shrinkage. After the head is mount on the form of your choice you need to inject all the wattles, snood, head all those little bumps on it with a fomula made for freezedrying turkey heads. Contact Flynn's form for the stuff and they have an articule that will help you do your own head and be able to freeze dry it in a regular freezer. Otherwise send it out to be done.
