My lord have you guys been seeing how many people are getting killed in Iraq? It is like all of the sudden the news decided to print what is really going on. I know a kid that is over there and his mother tells me that people are getting slaughtered by the droves everyday. I just wanted to see if any of you knew someone over there for a different opinion than the one the media jammed down our throats.

God Bless

two per day average now and less than 700 since the start. WW2 had a ave of 300 per day and Nam and Korea not much less. Exagerations do not help the USA cause. Those men and women all volunteered and they know the risks. Be proud of them instead of whinning.

I get a lot of information through Jaynes, a England based military agency. It cost to receive thier information, but I find them to he honest.

So honest in fact that our military subscribe to thier weapon journals. There are several Europeon based news agancies that report honest and fair news.

Unlike the propaganda we hear daily in the USA.

I also get emails form amy of my friends that stationed in Iraq, both miliotary and civilian.

How "better" a WAR do you want Old Man?

Get real! This IS war. And all things considered, we ought to thank our lucky stars and our technology that so far that is all the lives we have lost! Do you expect a casualty free war? Wouldn't that be the oxi-moron of the century! Our fighting men and women have a job to do and they are doing it well. Every one of them were fully aware of the possibility that they could be called to duty during wartime when they signed on the dotted line. I know I was when I signed up, and I was damn lucky not to have to serve in a war situation. But I was aware that I may have to and I excepted that. WAR is what we keep a military for last time I checked. This country is becoming filled with soft pusses. Wouldn't our enemies loved it if we "quit" because we lost a few of our soldiers! For every one we lose, they lose tons. We are winning. War is simply defined and killing people and breaking things. If you kill more of them and break more of their stuff... You Win! And we are. Mucho Gracias goes out to our fighting forces.

Thanks for your service too Old Man

Sorry, forgot to add that in. I know you're not whining, but I get flustered because I know some who read your post are bleeding hearts.
