I have a white fallow stag shot in the rut,
it has dark urine stains around the face
which stand out on the white fur, can any
one tell me how to remove it before tanning
and mounting.
thankyou

Peter, let me guess. You have a urine stained cape

You know according to the rules of the forum, you're only supposed to post an entry once? Three is a bit of an overkill.

Now, wash the skin. Urine is protein and soap removes protein. Not detergent, but SOAP. Epo-Grip Bloodout/Degreaser, or Eliminator from Van Dykes will do a nice job. Just don't leave it in the soap for over 20 minutes. Soap has a high pH and will make hair fall out if you forget it. When you're done, rinse it thoroughly.

Just make sure you don't let it set in that soap too long.
