Dry Mount?

I've just finished tanning my first skin, a grey fox, and am rather dumb-founded that it came out as well as it did. (I started with it before I knew about slippage, etc) My question is, now that it is all oiled and supple, do I have to get it wet again to mount it on my mannikin? If so, what are the benefits of doing this? And by the way, thanks for everybodys great information (and dumb beginners questions) I couldn't do this without this forum!

you shouldn't have to. At this point I would tumble and mount, but some don't. You can use a spray bottle or damp rag if needed while mounting if the nose, eyes, ect. start to dry. Good Luck
