I'm doing my first pedestal type mount.
Its a profile wall pdestal for a WT
I bought gold velvet and flocking gun also
gold rope to go around it, the problem is all
the adhesives i try wont hold the velvet on there
very good or thick, is there any thing a can buy from
walmart or somewhere that does a good job,
i also seen a pedestal with a rock looking subsatnce on the
back how is that done is it better than the velvet Thanks

I'm not sure of the number, but it's the most expensive of the cans. Spray a medium coat on the foam AFTER you rough it up a little and then spray a medium coat on the felt. Let both dry to a tack and then CAREFULLY lay the fabric on. Roll it either up or down the form so you don't get bubbles. If you do, you live with them cause there's no pulling it off and trying again. As for your braid, I don't know since I don't use it. I let the hair cover the edge, but I'm assuming hot glue would work.
.. is probably "Fleck-stone". I use that alot on the backs of pedestals. It is a spray paint and comes in many different colors. Just rough up the foam and spray the paint on; you might need several coats. Once it dries it has the texture of real rock. It works great!

I have used double faced carpet tape it works ok, I think I would go w/ that rock stuff though that sounds like a great idea that would look really neat. Thanks Amy
