Saftee Acid is safe only in the sense that if its spilled on the ground (environmentally) it turns to fertilizer in 2 weeks - AND - if you happen to get it on your exposed skin you have 5-10 minutes to get to some water and flush it off. Unlike a lot of Acids that will immediately burn you - it gives you a small amount of time to wash it away. It is what is called a buffered acid.
Other than that - if you leave the acid on your skin - eventually it will burn you like any other acid. But if it is there it you will know it because it has a greasy like feel to it.
You should still avoid splashes to your eyes and wear glasses and goggles when handling it. And when shaving pickled skins I always advise wearing latex surgical gloves. It definitely should not be swallowed or ingested. And when storing it you should always keep it safely out of the reach of young children.
