drying out ears

I'm going to try mounting a deer using cartilage liners, leaving the cartilage in and a two part epoxy glue, how dry do i need to get the ears and the cartilege before i try putting them together, thanks for your help---

If you're going to use the cartilage, why not just use reinforced epoxy without wasting time on an earliner. Ear Magic from Ep0-Grip works great using this "Bondo" type method.

As with all epoxies, the water isn't that much of a problem,but all grease and oils should be removed completely before attempting.

Forget the ear liners and use the Bondo method. If you have never done this before I suggest getting a set of Acu Ears from Research Mannikins. You will get the correct shape every time.
