I have a nice brown bear skull from a bear I shot about 3 years ago. After I cleaned it up nice, I didn't have time to degrease it properly because I was moving. It looked like it dried out all right over time and I hydrogen peroxided it then covered it in a clear acrylic finish. The problem is: now I can definitely notice the grease trying to come out and it didn't stay white. What's the best way to remove the finish and degrease the skull. This brownie skull is a B&C and I don't want to ruin it. Thanks for any advice.

Use a paint brush (real bristle - not plastic) and crop it down so the bristele are short and stiff. Or use a toothbrush. Use either of these tools with acetone to scrub off the old finish, then submerese your entire skull in acetone for a week. Be sure to ground the container you ahve your aceotne in as that much acetone in one bucket (plastic or metal) is a possible danger.
