Go to the

river that is near you and look on the bank. I go to the Mississippi river and find all kinds of beaver logs and sticks. That is the best thing to do. Find fresh ones if you can. Good Luck. Dan

Hatchet

Make some with a hatchet cut at an angle just like a beaver, you will never know the difference, although a good walk to the river would probably not hurt you any.

keep an eye out when you drive along the river or creeks and ditches. You may see a fallen tree, or even a beaver hut and dam. Just look around. Or ask a C.O. in your county, he or she should know of current beaver dam problems.
