what is the best product for making your finished fish real glossy looking? I've tried Life Tone topcoat and Liquid Crystal but am not getting it real glossy. I have some pan fish the customer wants REAL glossy. Any suggestions?
Also I have just purchased a freeze dryer. If anyone has a freeze dry work, I have room!

I use thriple thick for wood work and it is like glass! The only problem is if you have the smallest imperfection in your mount it will show bad! I have only started doing fish and have used it on a few. It is a great coplement to fin backing. Makes fins hard as steel and still a little flexable.
God Bless
I have been using it for five or six years now and I have never had that problem. In fact, my customers are impressed with the wet look their fish have when I am finished. Hope you find something that works.

Kathy,
I have been using an automtive clear coat for years. I have seen fish I glossed 15 years ago and they look the same. It cost around $100 a gallon, but the automotive paint dealer will sell it in a smaller quantity. Ask for a "high solid" type gloss. You will have to have a touch-up spray gun to use it, but you can get an inexpensive one for around $50. Well worth the investment!
Your help is greatly appreciated Tony, bruce & OLd Man. I'll try your ideas. It's not that I don't like Life Tone, I do and I use it alot but this guy wants more like the glass effect. Gotta please those customers you know!
Thanks again,,,,,,,, Kathy
