First of all I know its been asked. I just got out of the search area. I will be doing my first deer head and a coyote in the next few weeks. Im in the process of ordering supplies. I need to know what kind of airbrush most of you use for mammal taxidermy. I am color blind so I will not be attempting to do fish. Most of what I found in the forums was about fish taxidermy. Im looking at the Aztec 470 but since Ive never used one I dont know for sure. Its about $124 dollars but I dont know if the is to much for just doing mammals. Please let me know. Ive appreciated the help Ive gotten here in the past

Why don't you first check out some art schools, that deal with airbrushing, and get the finer points down pat. Then figure out which brand of airbrush you'll be comfortable with. Also the school will explain, how an airbrush works, how to clean an airbrush and maintain it, how to operate an airbrush, correct air pressure ect.

A lot of the classes, can be taken at different art stores, or check out the yellow pages. Also check out some of the community colleges. They may also have a course you can take.
