Removing Hide Paste from cape

How, and with what, can hide paste be removed from a finished mount?

I just found some hide paste came through the bullet hole area of a coyote mount. This has left a small wad of hair next to the neck hide.
Would one of you pros tell me how to fix the problem please.

Hide paste

J.W.

Take a paper towel and soak it in acetone, hold this on the area where the hide paste is. Then when the paste is flexable and soft again, gently pull the paste off the hair. Depending on how dry the paste is will depend on how long you need to have the acetone on the paste.

Thanks Coyote.

I'll go to the shop and try it.

Worked like a dream.
I lost a little hair, but not enough to hurt the mount.

thanks again Coyote.
I hope someday I can repay you.
