Bringing it to a qualified PROFESSIONAL taxidermist. It is what they are experienced in doing. Would you have the same attitude if your kid was sick , would you ask advice aboiut how YOU could treat him, or would you take him to a professional? Think about it!

Freeze it

Could you just freeze it in the position you want and draw it while its frozen. or do you want it presurved for good? If its starting to stink that isnt good freeze it if you can until you can decide what you want to do with it.

If it's stinking, it probably isn't any good. Chances are if you found it, it probably was sitting around for awhile beforehand, which = not any good. Whenever I find roadkill, I always test the hair to make sure there isn't any slip, and then I freeze it for later. Good luck to you.
