The best stitch

Depends on a variety of factors. Among them are the tread used, the location of the sewing, the species of animal, and the hair length and thickness.
In Heavily haired areas on thick skinned animals I use cape tread, with the baseball stitch. I find it quicker sewing. when dealing with thin hair, or in areas where sewing will be apparent, I use fire wire, and sew with a whip stitch. Making sure to keep the stitches close, and bring them out very near to the hair line. Birds I sew with Nylon rug tread, and a whip stitch. Facial repairs I use monofiliment, and a blind stitch. Those are just my methods, Not the gospel. Others may have techniques that will better suit you.
