Has anyone ever heard of using MEK hardener thats used for fiberglass as a tanning solution on fish skins? I heard this discussion at a show. Any details you have on this sp( mix ratio, soaking time etc;) would be appreciated.

MEK or MEKP?

MEK would possibly work as a replacement to methanol or denatured alcohol, but MEKP is a whole different ballgame that's going to get a mite expensive. MEK is already more expensive than denatured alcohol and a WHOLE lot more hazardous to your health. Disposal of all these chemicals is going to be your next big problem.

Why!
