Slipping or are you pulling the hair out?

Is the skin sloughing off? Or is the hair pulling out. If the hair is pulling out, STOP GROOMING IT TILL IT DRIES.

Me too!

I remember my first two mounts, I learned that all hair will pull out when the cape is in a wet condition. I now handle the capes very gently from start to finish, picking it up with my hands on the inside only, and not moving the cape around the manikin with my hands or fingers. And grooming it with a comb while the cape is still wet is a no no. I do groom with a VERY SOFT hair brush that I got at walmart, and brush VERY very LIGHTLY when grooming. A soft tooth brush will work to touch up around the ears and eyes, but again, very gently. Or as George says, wait till it is dry.

A few hairs coming out while grooming is not slip, you will learn slip when it shows up sooner or later. Get your swear words ready, because when it shows up, you will know it. I use Rogain for my slip spots on top of my head, :-)
