what do i need to be a taxidermist in oklahoma

could someone tell me if i need some kind of license or anything, and yes i have checked the archives. i am 17

I dont live in your state but if your just doing taxidermy for yourself and not other people then you dont need anything . Its only a hobby to you . You only need a license and permits to mount for other people . Maybe someone else can help you better . Rick

Hello, our studio is located in oklahoma. The only thing that you need in our state is a Federal License to do waterfowl..other than that..the wardens will tell ya "follow your hunting guide" (whatever that means..lol) There is no state license, or requirements other than possible city zoning laws. Since there is no real "regulations"..it is VERY important to keep all documentation on ANYTHING that you have in your shop.
