I am fairly new to taxidermy and even newer to the fleashing machine.I bought a used dakota 4 and im not sure if the blade needs to be sharpened.How much pressure should be used to flesh a hide.I have tried different angles on the blade and it seems to work best if the blade is turned down moreso than if it is almost straight.I have had to use alot of pressure to get the blade to shave the hide.It is to the point were i have given myself a neckache.I didnt think that you had to apply that kind of pressure.I thought that all you needed was light pressure to shave the hide.can anyone please help.thanks alot for your help!
